Explain the significance of the title- week 4

Thirteen Reasons Why

When you first see this title, you may not be too interested. It is not a really catchy title, but read the back of the book. Once you read the back of the book, you will understand the chosen title. A girl, Hannah Baker, commits suicide. She makes thirteen tapes for the reasons why she did what she did. Once you begin to read the book, you discover that on each side of the tapes there is a certain person that helped the snowball aspect of her life. She gives stories that includes each person on the tape and what happened in those situations to affect her. All of these stories kind of go together because it was on situation, which you find out at the beginning, that set the rest of the story in to motion. The reason for the title is because there are thirteen tapes and thirteen reasons (people) why she commits suicide.
